My First Five for Friday

#1- I won my very first giveaway!!!! What are the chances (and I thought my luck ran out a long time ago!)? Thanks to Kayla at Meet Miss Parker... I snagged this BEAUTIFUL Alex & Ani bangle bracelet!

#2- I joined the Bloglovin' bandwagon. Click the widget located on the left column of my blog to follow me! I also participated in my FIRST linky party this week. (:

#3- Shopping is a whole new experience when you're a teacher... I stroll the isles looking at things and thinking about how I can change it to make it into something useful for my classroom. I was looking at this alphabet pegboard used to create alphabet letters with tiny beads that get pressed by an iron. It made me think about how this (either bead letters or the pegboard itself) could easily double as a tactile manipulative for students who need both kinesthetic and fine motor experiences. Not sure how helpful, but definitely an idea!

#4- I had my first grade meeting yesterday! We talked Common Core and grade cards. It is amazing how much teachers care... we get together in the summer, and I know you do too!!!

#5- Draft Pick Party at the Q in Cleveland! If you didn't know... my last name is Bennett! So I cannot express how thrilled I am to buy a Bennett jersey this season! Go Cavs!
