Better late than never! I am linking up with Flying into First Grade to share more about me, myself, and I. What a great opportunity to get to know other teachers too.
Here is my tic-tac-toe board with x's on the bottom row!
My favorite grade to teach and why…
I have had teaching experiences in kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. I have to say first grade because not only is that the grade level I currently teach, but I just love to see the progress firsties make. I thoroughly enjoy teaching reading and writing… this is where all the growth happens!!! Some "PINable" quotes that I HAD to share. (:
Favorite clothes and shoes stores…
My life revolves around DSW, TJ Maxx, and Banana Republic!

Hobbies…
I have many hobbies or at least things that I consider to be hobbies. First and foremost, I love CRAFTING! Growing up with my gram really helped me to appreciate the art of crafting. I learned how to crochet when I was in 2nd grade!!! YIKES. This is why Monday Made It by 4th Grade Frolics is right up my alley. (:
I have such a passion for art… especially handmade pieces. This is an art piece I bought at an art gallery in Cleveland. My FAVORITES (including jewelry) have come from Don Drumm studios and regular-ole antique shops. Check out my For the Home Pinterest board to see more of what I love.
I also have fun hanging with my MAIN SQUEEZE… Boo! My kitty is a year old with such a personality. Plus, he's a BIG Kyrie Irving fan. Who wouldn't love him???Each year, my sisters make me do their up-dos for homecoming. I am the "hair and nails" babysitter too. All the little girlies I watch love for me to do some much needed makeover sessions! Here is a 3-way braid I did for my sister while sitting in a waiting room!
If only I could stay awake! Some people may say that I shouldn't even put movies as a hobby considering I can never make it all the way to the end of the movie… BUT I do enjoy going to the movie theater often. There is nothing wrong with catching up on all the new Pixar and Disney films!!! Here's a drive-in where I saw The Croods. (:
Last, but certainly not least- MUSIC! In high school, I participated in competitive dance and taught gymnastics. Music makes the world go round, and it always puts me in a better mood. If you do not have Shazam as an app, you must get it!!! It is perfect for those who hear a new song on the radio and want to know what it is! Just open the app and within 10 seconds it tells you exactly what song and artist is playing. FABULOUS!!!
Hi Britney,
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Someone New Sunday! I'm happy to have found you. I agree first grade is the BEST! And what an awesome braid! I have no talent for doing hair. Thank goodness I have sons!
