Favorite Pins Friday- FIVE for Me!

I am HAPPY to link up for Favorite Pins Friday with Cara from The First Grade Parade! After I tracked down all of my pins, I came up with my five FAVS that are each unique  and applicable in their own way. Just click on the pictures below to make your way to my pins and boards!

1st Pin- I found this pin and thought not only how pretty, but how appropriate! I needed something like this in my classroom last year without a doubt. It is designed for children who need a break to shake and wait for the glitter to settle. I see this as a positive tool to use for my little kiddos that need a sensory break, brain break, or any break for that matter.

2nd Pin- I have always been Montessori-inspired… My constructivist mind luckily always gets the best of me! This pin reminded me of my grandmother's house- engulfed with baskets! Natural wood is clean, simplistic, and essential… need I say more?

3rd Pin- Now, I don't have tile floors in my classroom, but I just HAD to share this! These chair socks are adorable and may even prevent those ear-terrifying screeches when metal chairs scrape the floor… Plus the pattern seems simple enough!

4th Pin- This Mumma's Life was a great mom when she thought up this brilliant idea! I am familiar with sand writing, but honestly didn't think too much about using salt. I have been somewhat obsessed with making/finding sandpaper letters as a tactile writing center. I have reexamined my initial plan and am on the salt tray fad now!

5th Pin- Dandelions and Dragonflies gave a beautiful tour of her classroom- where I picked out this special find! I have always struggled with putting my mentor texts for writing workshop in a designated area… they just build up so quickly throughout the week! Between my read aloud books and mentor texts, I surely have an intermingled collection! This bucket serves as a perfect spot for students to go when they need some writing inspiration.
